Reblog: We forget – it’s a good thing.

I don’t love the “reblog” button on posts, mine or anyone else’s. It doesn’t work the way I want it to: I have to pop back to my page to make changes anyhow. To save time, I now reblog essays, mine or anyone else’s, by creating a new post with an attachment.

The great thing about reblogging your own work is it eases the nagging guilt of non-productivity. I’ve been exceptionally unproductive of late. My psychiatrist says it’s because my current emotional state is akin to being brain-damaged: the hits that keep coming are making my hippocampus a very unhappy camper. Considering my current functionality, I’d have to concur.

  1. You know what I think Ms. Em? I think we need to change the language up a bit. “Exceptionally unproductive” does not strike me as an apt descriptor for you. I think the fact that you are even able to sit in a chair and re-blog in the face of your pain and adversity is amazing. I would say, “Em is fighting a war on two fronts (pain and the day-to-day) and is kicking a**. For today, that’s a win!” 🥰

    1. Wow. I got a little teary. Thank you. It’s funny that I’m so good at doing that for others, and so miserable at doing it for myself. Life’s little ironies are so annoying at times. 🙂
